OFL architecture

OFL architecture is an interdisciplinary architectural research laboratory interested in redefining potential relationships within the contemporary city and its existing urban conditions. Francesco founded OFL architecture in 2008 with the intention of developing a new design methodology that integrates architecture with parallel disciplines: Art, Sculpture, Biology, Cinema. Between 2009 and 2010 the office receive several prizes: the honourable mention at the Hong Kong Noise barrier competiton with the Riccio project, the third prize at the PontèPigneto competiton with the project Instant Bridge and the first prize for the Silk Road Map International Competition. In December 2009 OFL has its first solo exhibition in Sicily. The exhibition named CARNE provoked the attention of the critic thanks to the provocative installation and projects. His works have been exhibited and published in Rome Venice, Milan, Seville, Seoul, Turin, Stockholm, Bangkok, Shanghai, UK, Hong Kong.

 

 

Francesco Lipari - Founding Principal

Receive his Master degree of Architecture with honours from the Roma Tre Faculty of Architecture in 2006. He worked as project architect with 3Gatti and MAD in Shanghai and Beijing and MFuksasD in Rome.
At MFuksasD office he was involved in several projects from the Guggenheim museum in Vilnius, to the Headquarter of Regione Piemonte, to the International Shenzhen Bao’an airport. Francesco was invited in 2006 to the 10th Venice Biennale. His works have been exhibited and published in Rome Venice, Milan, Seville, Turin and Hong Kong.

Vanessa Todaro - Associate Partner

Vanessa graduated in architecture in 2007 at the University "La Sapienza" of Rome Faculty of Architecture "L. Quaroni.
She worked as project architect at Massimiliano Fuksas Studio in Rome. From 2010 she is associate partenr of OFL architecture. She has successfully completed projects as The Hong Kong Noise Barrier, the new headquarer Andrea Palladio and several small-scale project.

Pierpaolo Pugliano - Design Engineer

He graduated in Telecommunications Engineering in 2004 at the Faculty of Engineering, University "La Sapienza" of Rome. In 2005 he obtained a Masters degree in Sound Engineering at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. Pierpaolo is a Design Engineer at OFL since 2009 following aspects of acoustic energy and technology in various projects.

Michael Caton - Senior Architect

A native of New York City he studied at Pratt Institute School of Architecture receiving his degree in 2008. Having been involved in the Middle East region over the last few years, Michael has been involved in various projects and programs dealing with advanced digital technologies in design. As an experimental multidisciplinary architect, he explores futures for architectural, digital, and interactive design.
